1972 O-Pee-Chee Pro Action #121 Test Your Football I.Q. Siksma Brothers Family Attention CFL nostalgia hunters and trivia lovers, the 1972 O-Pee-Chee Pro Action #121 Test Your Football I. Q. Siksma Brothers Family delivers a pure dose of early seventies Canadian football charm that you simply cannot find in modern glossy products. Nestled inside the iconic 1972 O-Pee-Chee CFL set of 132 cards, this card is one of the fourteen Pro Action Test Your Football I. Q. inserts numbered 118 to 131 that O-Pee-Chee used to educate and entertain fans with bilingual English and French quizzes, cartoons, and upside-down answers, a format that has become a cult favorite among vintage collectors. The front showcases the set’s trademark red frame and bright yellow PRO ACTION header over a sun-drenched game-action photograph with that unmistakable 70s film grain and saturated color that makes O-Pee-Chee photography so collectible. The flip side is pure Canadiana, a lime-green quiz box with bold TEST YOUR FOOTBALL I. Q. lettering in English and the question Which family had three C. F. L. players on one team with the complete French translation Comment s’appelait les trois frères qui jouèrent pour le même club dans la L. C. F., illustrated with three cartoon blockers shoulder to shoulder and the answer inverted at the bottom as THE SIKMA BROTHERS Les Frères Sikma, celebrating one of the CFL’s rare family legacies when siblings suited up together and captured the imagination of fans across the prairies. This was the era when the CFL was appointment viewing on CBC, when tailgates were filled with talk of the Roughriders, Lions, and Argonauts, and when O-Pee-Chee packs for a nickel delivered the only licensed cards of stars like Ron Lancaster, George Reed, and Angelo Mosca, making every Pro Action pull a history lesson. The 1972 O-Pee-Chee Pro Action #121 Test Your Football I. Q. Siksma Brothers Family stands as a time capsule of that bilingual, community-driven league and of O-Pee-Chee’s final CFL football issue, printed in Canada and never reprinted. This is a Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back and is not a puzzle back, printed in Canada on the standard tan OPC stock with green and navy inks and French and English text, and the examined example shows vintage handling consistent with a mid-grade raw collection. Corners exhibit gentle blunting and minor fraying with a touch of whitening on the upper right, edges reveal light chipping along the red border especially along the right side, surface retains good gloss with no creases, wrinkles, or pen marks and only faint print dots from the factory, and centering on the front is roughly 65/35 top to bottom with the back quiz panel slightly left of center. A conservative grade estimate of VG-EX 4 accurately reflects the soft corners and border wear while acknowledging the clean, crease-free face and strong eye appeal that makes this insert an excellent affordable representative for your Pro Action run. Grade Estimate: VG-EX 4
