Secure a classic piece of hockey history with this stunning 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Roger Crozier #50 card. For true hockey enthusiasts, finding cards that preserve the vibrant, colorful aesthetic of the early 1970s is an absolute thrill. Roger Crozier remains an iconic figure in professional hockey, celebrated for his intense, acrobatic goaltending style that defied his small physical stature. Known affectionately as "Roger the Dodger," he captured the hearts of fans across North America throughout his impressive career. Crozier was the first goaltender to win the Conn Smythe Trophy while playing for a losing team in the Stanley Cup Finals, a testament to his sheer brilliance between the pipes. He was also a Calder Memorial Trophy winner as rookie of the year, carving out an indelible legacy first with Detroit and later as a foundational star for the expanding Buffalo Sabres franchise. This specific release features a brilliant portrait format surrounded by the unforgettable arched borders of the 1972-73 set design. The reverse side contains his complete professional stats and features the classic O-Pee-Chee bilingual English and French biographical text alongside a charming cartoon block. Vintage hockey cards of this quality from Canadian collections are increasingly difficult to track down in clean, uncreased condition. It is a fantastic asset for any serious player-collector or team archivist looking to fill out a masterpiece vintage hockey set.
Condition Report: This beautiful vintage card remains free of surface wrinkles, deep ink stains, or surface creases. The gloss is bright and original. The centering is weighted slightly toward the top and right side, presenting nicely inside the arched design. The four corners exhibit mild touch-wear at the very tips but retain robust square shapes with minimal soft fiber layering. Edges are remarkably clean for a rough-cut O-Pee-Chee issue, showing very little of the typical print chipping or wire-cut fuzziness. The reverse side shows excellent crisp text and bold orange background ink with no signs of wax paper staining or album residue. We estimate this card to be in raw EX-MT 6 condition.
