1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Doug Mohns #75 Minnesota North Stars EX-MT 6

Description

1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Doug Mohns #75 Minnesota North Stars EX-MT 6 This final card on the sheet is the nicer of the two Doug Mohns singles, and its bold magenta Minnesota North Stars background makes it one of those cards that jumps off the page in any binder or display. Mohns stands full length in the green and white North Stars uniform, stick planted on the ice, with the circular N star logo and the yellow name banner completing the classic 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee look. The Canadian printing, with its smaller run and bilingual reverse, adds lasting desirability for collectors of the North Stars and for anyone who appreciates the great iron men of the NHL's original era. The reverse reads like a durability manifesto. It states plainly that veteran Doug never played a game in the minor leagues, and the career table opens in 1953-54 with Boston before moving through Chicago and arriving in Minnesota, with printed totals of 1220 games, 242 goals, 427 assists, and 669 points. Born in Ontario in December 1933, Mohns was a multi time All-Star who excelled at both defense and forward across parts of five decades, a resume that places him among the most respected veterans ever to lace them up. The French text gives the same tribute in the other official language, a properly Canadian salute to a properly Canadian career. this copy is the cleaner Mohns of the pair, with corners that remain sharp to the eye, edges free of significant chipping, a glossy surface without creases or heavy scuffing, and centering that drifts only slightly toward the right border while staying comfortably presentable. The reverse confirms the Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back rather than a puzzle back, with the extensive career table crisp and the borders showing only light even toning. Because I grade conservatively, the honest estimate is EX-MT 6, giving collectors a handsome raw example of a true legend at a fraction of slabbed pricing. For North Stars team builders and vintage defenseman collectors, this 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Doug Mohns #75 is a confident buy. Grade Estimate: EX-MT 6
