1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family #35 Proud Mother Series 1

Description

1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family #35 Proud Mother Series 1 Celebrate the matriarch of prime-time musical comedy with this stunning 1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family card number 35, titled Proud Mother. The front features a beautiful, expressive close-up portrait of Shirley Jones as Shirley Partridge looking on with maternal pride. Shirley Jones was already a celebrated star of stage and screen before taking the role, having starred in legendary musical films like Oklahoma! and Carousel. Her presence gave the show tremendous artistic credibility and helped cement its legacy as a cultural touchstone of early 1970s television. This authentic Canadian O-Pee-Chee release features the traditional yellow borders and carries a much scarcer print run than the common US Topps versions. The back of this card contains an essential panel of Puzzle Number 2, illustrating the collectible puzzle feature that delighted fans during the show's original run. The portrait on the front is well-preserved with excellent color depth and flesh tones. Centering is shifted toward the right side, resulting in a slightly wider border on the left margin. The corners display typical vintage softening and minor touch wear at the tips. The edges are generally straight with light, expected age wear. The reverse side puzzle artwork is in excellent shape, displaying clean details with a trace amount of native cardboard toning but avoiding major condition flaws like creasing or tears.
