Description

1971 O-Pee-Chee Noel Picard #224 St. Louis Blues Hockey Card This vintage 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Noel Picard hockey card offers a compelling addition to any serious collector's portfolio. Known as a rugged and dependable presence on the blue line, Picard was instrumental during the early, highly successful expansion era of the St. Louis Blues. He helped anchor the defense that powered the franchise to three consecutive Stanley Cup Finals appearances from 1968 through 1970. This card captures Picard in his classic St. Louis uniform, framed by the bright blue oval border and distinctive bold team name lettering typical of this classic 1971 design. On the reverse, the piece features a Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back with a classic cartoon sketch celebrating his birth on Christmas Day alongside his official career National Hockey League statistics. The card exhibits mild, uniform corner wear with small touches of soft rounding at the tips. The edges are clean overall, showing only minor paper fiber chipping along the dark borders. Centering is shifted slightly toward the left border on the front, while the reverse displays great color retention with no major staining. This well-preserved card earns a conservative grading assessment based on these attributes. Grade Estimate: EX 5
