Description

1971 O-Pee-Chee Marv Luster #7 Toronto Argonauts (EX 5) Own a piece honoring one of the greatest defensive backs to ever patrol a CFL gridiron with this 1971 O-Pee-Chee Marv Luster #7 card! Marv Luster was an elite defender whose legendary career eventually earned him an honored induction into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame. This card celebrates his back-to-back All-Canadian selections in 1970, following a stellar collegiate career at UCLA and an appearance in the iconic All-America Game back in 1961. Luster’s combination of closing speed, hitting power, and football IQ made him an absolute nightmare for opposing quarterbacks throughout the league. The reverse side contains O-Pee-Chee's classic Canadian bilingual text, detailing his impressive football school in Toronto and his athletic accolades in both English and French. Framed by the gorgeous, condition-sensitive red borders, this card is an absolute must for Hall of Fame collectors and Toronto Argonauts enthusiasts. The card exhibits standard vintage characteristics for a well-preserved mid-grade specimen. The red borders show mild edge chipping along the perimeter. The corners are uniformly soft with minor touches of white card stock visible at the tips. The centering favors the bottom margin slightly but does not detract from the powerful image of Luster. The cardboard surfaces are crisp, retaining great legibility on the back with no creases or pen markings. Grade Estimate: EX 5
