Roger Crozier Story Booklet #5 Checklist Back Buffalo Sabres EX-MT 6
Unlock a piece of hockey history with this rare 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Roger Crozier Story Booklet #5!
Vintage hockey collectors, here is your chance to own a beautifully preserved insert from one of the most beloved eras of the sport. This isn't just a trading card; it’s a narrative "Story Booklet" that captures the legendary career of goaltending pioneer Roger Crozier. Known for his acrobatic style and bravery in the crease, Crozier was the first player to win the Conn Smythe Trophy while playing for the losing team (Detroit, 1966). This specific booklet highlights his journey as he became a cornerstone for the expansion Buffalo Sabres, earning the franchise's first-ever victory in 1970.
What makes this O-Pee-Chee version particularly desirable is the Checklist Back. While many booklets featured story text on both sides, this variation includes the "Hockey Booklet Checklist," listing all 24 stars in the set, from Bobby Hull and Phil Esposito to the legendary Gordie Howe and Bobby Orr. Finding these booklets "unmarked" and in high-grade condition is a significant challenge for set registry collectors.
