This card is a true find for any die-hard Philadelphia Flyers fan or vintage hockey card investor looking to complete a classic master set. Jim Johnson was an essential, steadying presence on the blue line during the formative expansion years of the NHL. This card acts as a beautiful time capsule documenting his journey right before the Flyers captured the hearts of hockey fans with their aggressive, back-to-back championship era. The card features a vibrant portrait of Johnson in his classic white, orange, and black Flyers sweater set against a bold blue sky circular backdrop, flanked by the vintage Philadelphia logo. On the reverse side, collectors will appreciate the authentic O-Pee-Chee bilingual back, which showcases his player metrics and career summaries translated into both English and French, a distinctive staple of Canadian vintage card printing history. The back also includes a charming cartoon vignette highlighting his decade-long dedication to the sport. Whether you are building an elite registry set or simply hunting down missing pieces for your vintage album, this 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Jim Johnson card offers incredible historic appeal and nostalgic charm. This card remains in highly attractive mid-to-high grade condition. The front features remarkably bright color with clean white borders that show only minimal aging or print tracking. Centering is quite strong for this notoriously off-cut Canadian issue, favoring the right border slightly but well within acceptable standards for an Excellent to Mint designation. The corners are clean and relatively sharp, exhibiting just a touch of minor fraying at the tip of the bottom left corner under magnification. The edges are clean and straight with minimal chipping from the factory wire-cut process. The reverse green-and-gray cardboard stock shows no signs of wrinkling, surface marks, or creases, and the bilingual biographical text is entirely clear and readable. A great candidate for raw set builders looking for visual appeal. Grade Estimate: EX-MT 6
