Description

1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Gary Sabourin #13 St. Louis Blues Hockey Card Capture a brilliant piece of early St. Louis hockey heritage with this 1971-72 O-Pee-Chee card featuring standout right winger Gary Sabourin. Sabourin was an original member of the St. Louis Blues expansion roster and quickly established himself as a fan favorite due to his hard-nosed style of play and clutch scoring abilities in the postseason. This card captures him during the prime of his career, fresh off helping the Blues establish themselves as a true competitive force in the NHL. The front design displays a sharp photo of Sabourin framed in the classic 1971 oval format with retro team typography. This card is a true Canadian O-Pee-Chee edition, boasting a bilingual reverse face that prints his personal statistics and career notes in both English and French languages. Examining the condition of this piece, the centering is shifted heavily toward the top-right corner border. The corners exhibit general softening and minor rubbing at the tips, which is very common for vintage card stock of this age, but they remain free of major creasing. The borders and edges show typical light chipping from the original factory cutting blades. The reverse side presents excellent clarity with deep green ink, crisp lettering, and a clean background that is completely free of any pencil marks or wax blemishes. This card is a wonderful addition for anyone building a complete set or looking for a clean piece of vintage memorabilia, earning a conservative Grade Estimate: EX 5
