1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Gary Doak #87 Vancouver Canucks

Description

1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Gary Doak #87 Vancouver Canucks Capture a piece of the early foundation of West Coast hockey with this vintage card highlighting tough defenseman Gary Doak. Known for his hard-hitting style and defensive grit, Doak served as an alternate captain during Vancouver's foundational second season in the NHL. The reverse side presents a bilingual layout written in both English and French, documenting his prior playing time with the Boston Bruins and his leadership role on the young Canucks squad. The card face showcases a focused portrait nestled inside the iconic retro oval format. Examining the physical condition reveals a fair amount of rounding on the corners and some minor fiber separation. Noticeable edge chipping can be found along the reverse borders, and the centering shows a distinct top-to-bottom shift on the front presentation. Despite the typical vintage wear, the cardboard remains intact without heavy creases, leading to a conservative Grade Estimate: VG 3
