1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Dave Balon #229 Vancouver Canucks

Description

1971-72 O-Pee-Chee Dave Balon #229 Vancouver Canucks Celebrate the arrival of an offensive powerhouse in British Columbia with this vintage card of veteran left wing Dave Balon. Acquired by the Vancouver Canucks in a high-profile multi-player trade with the New York Rangers, Balon brought crucial veteran leadership and proven goal-scoring capabilities to the young expansion squad. The reverse side contains a wealth of detail in English and French, listing his complete professional career statistics and a cartoon panel detailing his trade to Vancouver. The front layout presents Balon inside the distinctive color-blocked oval frame under the stylized team name banner. Evaluating the state of preservation, the card corners show modest wear and softening at the endpoints. Faint edge chipping can be spotted on the dark back panel, and the centering is tilted slightly left-to-right on the front surface. The card retains excellent color saturation with clean white borders, justifying a conservative Grade Estimate: EX 5
