1970 O-Pee-Chee Henry Dorsch #74 Saskatchewan Roughriders EX5

Description

1970 O-Pee-Chee Henry Dorsch #74 Saskatchewan Roughriders This 1970 O-Pee-Chee Henry Dorsch #74 is a classic Saskatchewan Roughriders card that captures the versatile, two-way spirit of late-1960s and early-1970s Canadian football. Henry Dorsch was a dependable Roughriders running back and defensive halfback whose printed position reflects the all-purpose demands placed on the best athletes of the era, when players were called on to contribute on offense and defense alike. Playing for one of the CFL's flagship franchises, Dorsch was part of the green and white's formidable core during a stretch of Grey Cup contention, and his name remains familiar to longtime Saskatchewan supporters. O-Pee-Chee produced the 1970 Canadian Football League set with its celebrated bilingual design, printing both English and French biographical text on every card reverse in recognition of the sport's nationwide Canadian following, and those bilingual backs are exactly what make these issues so collectible today. As card number 74 in the 115-card set, Dorsch sits near the front of the Saskatchewan team run alongside DeGraw, Ford, Lancaster, Kosid, and Reed, making it a vital card for completing the Roughriders set. The card front presents Dorsch in the classic white and green Saskatchewan uniform with a sharp portrait and bold team block, while the reverse shares his story in both of Canada's official languages. This ungraded card shows no visible creases in the scan and reasonable centering, but because I could not visually inspect the physical card for exact corner wear, edge chipping, and centering, the grade below is a conservative estimate; the light corner and edge wear typical of a half-century-old O-Pee-Chee card should be confirmed in hand. It is a genuine Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back rather than a puzzle back. Honest, affordable, and full of vintage character, this Henry Dorsch card is a satisfying addition to any Roughriders team set or general CFL collection. Grade Estimate: EX 5
