1970 O-Pee-Chee Bob Kosid #77 Saskatchewan Roughriders EX5

Description

1970 O-Pee-Chee Bob Kosid #77 Saskatchewan Roughriders Add a true piece of Canadian football nostalgia to your collection with this 1970 O-Pee-Chee Bob Kosid #77, a Saskatchewan Roughriders card from one of the most cherished bilingual CFL issues ever printed. Bob Kosid was a versatile and hard-nosed Roughriders performer whose card lists his position as offensive and defensive halfback, a reminder of the two-way demands placed on players during the late 1960s and early 1970s when the best Canadian league athletes did it all for their teams. Kosid suited up for the green and white during a memorable stretch of franchise history, and his name is a familiar one to longtime Saskatchewan supporters. O-Pee-Chee manufactured the 1970 Canadian Football League set with a distinctive bilingual design, giving every card both English and French text on the reverse in honor of the sport's coast-to-coast Canadian popularity. As card number 77 in the 115-card set, Kosid falls right in the middle of the Roughriders team block that includes Lancaster, Thompson, Dushinski, Reed, and Abendschan, so this is a key card for completing the green and white team run. The front displays Kosid in the classic Saskatchewan white and green uniform with a clean portrait and bold team name, while the reverse shares his story in both official languages. This ungraded example shows no obvious creasing in the scan with generally acceptable centering, though I could not visually inspect the physical card for exact corner wear, edge chipping, and centering, so the grade provided is a conservative estimate; the expected light surface and corner wear of a 1970 O-Pee-Chee card should be confirmed in hand. It is a genuine Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back rather than a puzzle back. Honest, affordable, and full of vintage charm, this Bob Kosid card is an excellent building block for any Saskatchewan Roughriders or CFL collection. Grade Estimate: EX 5
