Description

1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Ron Stewart #41 Quickest Hits New York Rangers This 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee hockey card showcases veteran right winger Ron Stewart, a seasoned veteran of seventeen NHL seasons noted for his blistering speed, quick slap shot, and intelligent two-way play. Stewart provided crucial leadership and veteran grit to the New York Rangers lineup during their late-60s competitive surge. The card back highlights a fun cartoon detailing his reputation for having one of the quickest hits in the league, presented in both English and French text. Looking at the card's preservation state, the alignment is heavily miscut toward the top border, exhibiting an 85/15 top-to-bottom centering split, while left-to-right centering stays within a reasonable 60/40 range. The corners display noticeable softening and light scuffing on the tips, though they remain structurally intact without major creases. The edges show standard vintage wear with moderate paper chipping along the perimeter. The reverse face remains bright and clear, with crisp text and vibrant blue inks showing no traces of surface scratching or moisture staining. Due to the significant off-centering and corner aging, this card receives a conservative rating of Very Good to Excellent, serving as a historic piece for vintage hockey set builders.
