Description

1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Orland Kurtenbach #170 New York Rangers Raw (VG 3) Celebrate vintage grit with this secondary example of the 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Orland Kurtenbach card from our collection. Kurtenbach’s reputation as an elite protector and powerhouse center for the New York Rangers makes his cards an absolute must-have for classic hockey enthusiasts. This card is an exemplary piece from O-Pee-Chee's breakthrough 1968 series, which separated Canadian card collectors from American Topps distributions by offering an expanded checklist and bilingual text tailored to Canadian hockey fans. This card boasts an authentic Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back highlighting his physical toughness on the ice. In assessing its condition, this specimen shows clear signs of handling and age that place it into a lower-tier collector bracket. The centering is noticeably shifted toward the lower-right margin, creating uneven borders. The corners show distinct wear and rounding, lacking their original sharpness. The edges exhibit minor chipping and factory paper wear along the dark borderlines. The surface gloss has faded slightly with light scuffing, although the reverse remains clean and free of heavy staining or ink marks, justifying an honest assessment. Grade Estimate: VG 3
