1966 O-Pee-Chee Batman Robin to the Rescue #20 Black Bat Series

Description

1966 O-Pee-Chee Batman Robin to the Rescue #20 Black Bat Series Celebrate the legendary partnership of the Dynamic Duo with this original 1966 O-Pee-Chee Batman trading card titled Robin to the Rescue. The front illustration features a high-stakes action scene where Robin, the Boy Wonder, leaps down from a circular window frame to save Batman from a deadly predicament inside the Penguin's hideout. This masterclass in comic art narrative was penciled by Bob Powell and fully painted by Norman Saunders, whose signature pulp style redefined non-sport cards during the 1960s. This item is an authentic Canadian O-Pee-Chee release, printed on thick cardboard stock with a vibrant orange reverse. The back narrative details Robin's brave tactics to guide Batman through a smoke-filled pit to safety, complete with the T. C. G. Printed in Canada text along the bottom margin. A meticulous analysis of the card's visual and physical traits provides an accurate look at its condition. The highlights modest corner wear with soft rounding across all four tips, keeping it out of high-grade technical brackets but preserving an excellent vintage look. The edges exhibit minor chipping with small touches of white showing through the dark black borders, mostly on the left border. Centering is shifted toward the top border, resulting in an asymmetrical front border. The colors on the front are wonderfully rich, showing bright yellows, deep greens, and excellent contrast. The orange back is very clean, showing sharp black print and an unblemished field free from any wax staining, ink marks, or surface defects. No deep creases or paper wrinkles affect this beautiful piece. Grade Estimate: VG-EX 4
