Description

1966 O-Pee-Chee Batman Bat Laffs Batman and Robin #4 Adam West Burt Ward Duo Photo Holy Dynamic Duo moment, Batman and Robin fans, this 1966 O-Pee-Chee Batman Bat Laffs Batman and Robin #4 is the classic huddle-up shot of Adam West and Burt Ward you remember from the 1966 Batman movie lobby cards. This 1966 O-Pee-Chee Batman Bat Laffs Batman and Robin #4 card is a must-have for any Bat Laffs set builder searching for high eye appeal at a fair raw grade. The history of this set is pure pop culture gold. In early 1966 Greenway Productions and 20th Century Fox unleashed Batman on ABC and Topps printed five different Batman sets in one year. Bat Laffs is the fan-favorite photo set, 55 cards of color movie stills with BAT LAFFS jokes on the back like Q. What does a bat-accountant work with? A. Complicated BAtistics. The Canadian version says T. C. G. PTD. IN CANADA on the back edge and uses the same plates as US Topps but on slightly darker stock that tans faster. Card #4 is listed as Batman and Robin and is one of the earliest cards in the set showing the caped crusaders in close conference, Batman's yellow oval bat emblem crisp and clear. Adam West as Batman and Bruce Wayne defined the role for a generation with his deadpan delivery and moral authority, Burt Ward as Robin the Boy Wonder brought the holy catchphrases that still echo today. Together they anchored a show that received Emmy nominations and launched a merchandising wave. Front is centered roughly 60/40 top to bottom with decent eye appeal for vintage. The image is sideways in the holder but the actual card is oriented correctly, colors are still strong with blue sky background behind Robin. Corners are VG with light whitening at tips but not rounded through, edges have minimal chipping, no major creases visible on front unlike card 1 and 3 in the same row. Surface has light print snow common to Bat Laffs photo cards. Back is the blue puzzle piece with Robin's face in mask, BAT LAFFS header on top, clean joke text, light even tanning that confirms Canadian print, no marker or writing. Back corners are sharper than front, one light corner crease bottom right visible only under angle. This is not a bilingual French back, it is the English-only Canadian print that OPC collectors hunt because it is printed in half the quantity of Topps. This is a solid mid-grade example for your Adam West collection and ships securely from Woodstock Ontario with Alex Collect's collector-grade packaging. Grade Estimate: VG-EX 4
