Description

1964 Philadelphia Ken Gray #172 St. Louis Cardinals Vintage Football Card - Poor Condition Add a budget-friendly piece of legendary trench history to your football collection with this heavily handled 1964 Philadelphia Ken Gray #172 vintage card. This piece is an original print from the iconic 1964 Philadelphia Gum NFL set, highly prized for its distinct borders and bold mid-century text-driven design language. Ken Gray was an absolute powerhouse offensive guard, selected to six Pro Bowls, who spent the majority of his historic career with the St. Louis Cardinals before signing as a high-profile free agent. While this card represents Ken Gray's official rookie card (RC), it is strictly offered here as a heavily discounted gap-filler for budget collectors or true vintage set enthusiasts who love cards with real schoolyard character. This card is in poor condition. A definitive visual examination reveals that the card is structurally compromised and missing corners along its borders. The corners show severe, deep blunting and complete paper loss where the points have broken away. The edges exhibit extensive tracking wear, chipping, and heavy surface layering. The color on the front face displays significant scuffing, surface scratching, and noticeable aging marks. Centering is visibly askew. The reverse side shows heavy surface wear, staining, and aging, making this a heavily worn but authentic piece of 1960s football history. Grade Estimate: POOR 1
