Description

1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Don Marcotte #219 Boston Bruins NHL Hockey Card Own a piece of hard-nosed, defensive forward excellence with this 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Don Marcotte #219 Boston Bruins NHL Hockey Card. Don Marcotte was the ultimate unsung hero of the Big Bad Bruins era, widely respected across the league as an elite, shutdown defensive forward and a premier penalty-killing specialist. While stars like Bobby Orr and Phil Esposito filled the highlight reels, Marcotte did the gritty work along the boards, neutralising opposing star players and chipping in crucial clutch goals during deep playoff runs. This card pays homage to a true 2-time Stanley Cup champion whose work ethic defined Boston hockey. The card features the standard O-Pee-Chee bilingual back layout with text blocks printed in both official Canadian languages. The clean back layout remains bright and crisp, showcasing his statistical journey through the minor leagues up into his established NHL career with Boston. This vintage issue is in spectacular raw condition. The corners are crisp, coming to sharp points with no noticeable roundness or layering. The edges are remarkably straight, showing clean factory cuts with minimal border wear. The centering leans slightly to the right side but remains within excellent parameters for a vintage card from this era. The surface gloss is fully intact, presenting bright colors and no traces of wrinkling. Grade Estimate: EX-MT 6
