As one of the most underrated stay-at-home defensive stalwarts of his generation, Dallas Smith played a pivotal role in anchoring the blue line for Boston during their legendary Stanley Cup championship runs in 1970 and 1972. Serving as the perfect defensive complement to his legendary, free-roaming defensive partner Bobby Orr, Smith provided the structural stability, strict positional discipline, and precise body checking that allowed the Bruins to dominate the NHL throughout the early 1970s. This card captures Smith in his prime, showcasing the iconic 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee design elements with bright golden borders and an energetic team name font running vertically. This card is a fantastic addition for set builders and vintage hockey enthusiasts looking for authentic Canadian card stock variants. The reverse side features the classic O-Pee-Chee bilingual back layout, delivering player statistics, a short biographical summary, and a fun cartoon trivia element printed in both English and French to cater to the Canadian marketplace. This vintage card displays an excellent presentation. The corners show very minor softening and light touching under close inspection, keeping them remarkably square for an un-graded raw card of this era. The edges are clean and straight with minimal chipping along the sensitive golden borders. The centering is excellent, showing an even balance across the horizontal and vertical margins. The surface remains vibrant and free of any major flaws. Grade Estimate: EX-MT 6
