1969-70 Topps Fred Stanfield #32 Boston Bruins (EX)
This 1969-70 Topps Fred Stanfield #32 is one of the sharpest-presenting cards in this Bruins lot — a clean, high-eye-appeal example of a key setup man on Boston's championship teams. Soft-spoken and skilled, Stanfield was the smooth playmaking center who quietly drove offense while the bigger names grabbed the headlines, and this card catches him in the middle of his most productive years. Fred Stanfield's achievements are championship-caliber. He was a two-time Stanley Cup champion with the Boston Bruins in 1970 and 1972, and a reliable point producer who repeatedly posted strong scoring seasons as a second-line center behind Boston's superstars. One of several hockey-playing brothers, the "can't-miss" prospect finally found his footing in Boston after an early career with Chicago, and he remained a productive NHL center for years. His Bruins cards are steady sellers with vintage collectors. This is an authentic Topps card printed in the U. S. A., featuring the classic English-only blue Topps back — the American counterpart to the bilingual Canadian O-Pee-Chee issue. A clean, attractive copy and one of the nicest in the group. Centering is strong. Corners are sharp for the era with only light touch wear and minimal whitening. Edges are clean with minimal chipping. The surface is bright and glossy with strong color and no creases or wrinkles detected in the scan. The blue Topps back is crisp, bright, and free of writing.
