1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Ron Murphy #204 High Number Boston Bruins (VG-EX)

Description

1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Ron Murphy #204 High Number Boston Bruins (VG-EX) This 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Ron Murphy #204 is a genuine high-number short print from the hardest-to-complete series in the set, making it a smart pickup for collectors chasing the tougher end of the checklist. Murphy was a seasoned, respected veteran winger by this stage, and this near-end-of-career issue captures a well-traveled pro in his final NHL seasons with Boston. Ron Murphy's career spanned an impressive fourteen-plus NHL seasons across four Original Six-era franchises. A tireless, defensively responsible winger, he was known for shutting down opponents as much as for his own scoring, and he was a genuine journeyman craftsman of the pre-expansion and early-expansion NHL. High-number cards of veterans like Murphy are frequently the missing pieces in set builds, which gives this issue appeal well beyond his name value alone. This is an authentic O-Pee-Chee card printed in Canada, and the back features the collectible bilingual English/French text and cartoon that define the O-Pee-Chee release versus the American Topps version. Presents well for a high number. Centering is reasonable with a slight border shift. Corners show light-to-moderate rounding and touch wear with some whitening; the vivid green background makes minor edge wear more visible along the left border. Edges are largely intact with minor vintage chipping. The surface is clean with strong color and no significant creases or wrinkles detected in the scan. The bilingual O-Pee-Chee back is bright and clean. Grade Estimate: VG-EX 4
