SOLD 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Jean Ratelle #42 New York Rangers With Attached Stamp Variant (Authentic / VG Details)

Own an incredibly fascinating piece of 1960s hockey history with this vintage 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Jean Ratelle #42 New York Rangers hockey card featuring a rare period-correct O-Pee-Chee All-Star Stamp attached directly to the reverse. This unique variant captures Hall of Fame center Jean Ratelle during his premier scoring years in New York, while the back features a beautifully preserved, original black-and-white stamp insert adhered to the bio section exactly as O-Pee-Chee intended for young fans to do back in 1969. Known for his exceptional sportsmanship and elegant playing style, Ratelle remains a highly sought-after name for vintage collectors.

While third-party grading companies technically evaluate cards with stamps attached under "Altered" or "Authentic" qualifiers, these unique stamp-back versions are heavily collected as nostalgic, time-capsule artifacts of the era. The card face boasts the iconic hockey stick border design with a vibrant portrait of Ratelle, and the reverse preserves a piece of premium O-Pee-Chee promotional history. This item makes an excellent conversation piece and centerpiece for any original six or New York Rangers collection.

Condition Report:
The front of this card displays fantastic eye appeal, showcasing solid centering that favors the left edge slightly, bright colors, and clean registration. The corners on the front are remarkably sharp with minimal vintage softening. The reverse side features an original 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee black-and-white stamp insert securely adhered to the surface. There are no extra surface creases, ink marks, or pinholes present. Due to the attached insert on the back, the card is classified as "Authentic / VG Details" from a structural grading perspective, but it remains a highly presentable and clean specimen.
