1989-90 O-Pee-Chee Mario Gosselin #258 Los Angeles Kings (EX-MT 6)

Capture a piece of the high-flying 1989-90 Los Angeles Kings era with this O-Pee-Chee Mario Gosselin #258. This card marks a significant transition in Gosselin's career, following his trade from the Quebec Nordiques to join Wayne Gretzky’s Kings in Sunny California. Gosselin, a former 1984 NHL All-Rookie Team selection, provided veteran stability in the net for a Kings team that was the talk of the hockey world. This card features the vibrant, neon-inspired design that defines late 80s hockey collectibles, making it a nostalgic standout for any collector of the era.

As a true O-Pee-Chee release, this card is highly preferred by Canadian collectors over its Topps counterpart due to the iconic bilingual French/English back. Gosselin’s career was defined by his technical skill and his ability to perform under pressure, including his memorable stint with the Canadian Olympic team. For Kings fans or goalie specialists, this card represents the final years of the "pre-junk wax" era where quality and design truly popped.

Condition Report:
The card front displays excellent registration with the bold colors typical of the 1989-90 set. Centering is quite strong, showing better-than-average alignment for O-Pee-Chee factory standards of the time. The edges are relatively clean with the characteristic O-Pee-Chee rough cut visible on the sides. Corners show very light touches, particularly on the bottom right, but maintain a pleasing, square appearance. The bilingual back is pristine, free of any staining, gum residue, or ink marks. We've assessed this example at an EX-MT 6.
