1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Player Crests Bill Goldsworthy #10 Push-Out Insert Minnesota North Stars Every goal brought the Goldy Shuffle, and every Goldy Shuffle brought the Met Center crowd to its feet. This 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Player Crests Bill Goldsworthy #10 Push-Out Insert Minnesota North Stars celebrates the first true superstar of the expansion era, the face of the North Stars franchise and the inventor of one of hockey's first signature goal celebrations. Goldsworthy was selected to Team Canada for the legendary September 1972 Summit Series against the Soviets just before this card was issued, and in 1973-74 he would become the first player from a post-1967 expansion team to score 48 goals in a season. He went on to become the first expansion-team player to reach 250 career NHL goals, and the North Stars retired his number 8, an honor carried forward in Dallas. For vintage collectors, his cards represent the heart of early North Stars history, and this crest shows him in the classic green and gold against the set's dramatic silver shield design. The Player Crests series is a 22-card Canadian exclusive insert, pulled one per 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee first series wax pack, printed in London, Ontario. Authentic O-Pee-Chee bilingual English and French push-out instructions run across the front; the reverse is the correct blank tan back with an embossed die-cut shield outline, so note this is not a printed bilingual back or puzzle back, exactly as the set was originally produced. The die-cut shield has never been pushed out and all perforations are intact, preserving full original integrity. the front shows strong silver luster with a clean portrait and vivid red nameplate, light wear at all four corners, a trace of edge chipping along the top border where the silver surface meets the cut, centering slightly low and marginally shifted left, and no creases, wrinkles, marks or stains visible under close examination; the blank back displays even caramel toning with a crisp embossed outline and no paper loss. The grade below is intentionally conservative because this set's reflective stock magnifies the faintest handling under grading lights. A cornerstone card for North Stars collectors and a worthy tribute to one of expansion hockey's great showmen. Grade Estimate: EX-MT 6
