Lou Nanne is a name that resonates deeply with hockey fans. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Nanne captained the United States Olympic team in 1968, played a remarkably adaptable game as both a forward and defenseman, and became one of the most popular North Stars ever before going on to a long and influential run as the team's general manager. That blend of on-ice versatility, leadership, and front-office legacy makes his vintage cards especially desirable for Minnesota team collectors, set builders, and fans of the league's expansion era. This card is a genuine Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back, printed in English and French with the complete NHL career statistics and the classic OPC cartoon, the feature that distinguishes the coveted O-Pee-Chee printing from the Topps issue and adds appeal for Canadian collectors. this example is among the cleaner cards on the sheet, presenting with only light corner softness, edges that show minimal chipping, and pleasing centering that keeps Nanne nicely framed within the border. The magenta background is rich and glossy, the full-length photo is sharp, and there are no visible creases or wrinkles breaking through the surface, giving the card excellent eye appeal for its age. The bilingual reverse shows only light toning and remains crisp and fully legible. Because the corners retain slight rounding and the edges reveal minor handling wear typical of the set, a conservative raw grade estimate places this attractive single at the Excellent level, an honest evaluation that leaves the buyer room to be pleased with the card in hand. Whether you are completing the 1972-73 OPC set, building a Minnesota North Stars run, or seeking a meaningful name tied to the franchise's history, this Lou Nanne is a rewarding pickup.
