1971 O-Pee-Chee CFL Don Bahnuik #91 Bilingual Back Saskatchewan Roughriders This 1971 O-Pee-Chee CFL Don Bahnuik #91 Bilingual Back Saskatchewan Roughriders card is a tough and appealing vintage single for collectors who appreciate Saskatchewan football history and the rugged two-way line play of earlier CFL eras. Bahnuik is pictured in a full stance pose wearing the Roughriders green uniform, with number 60 clearly visible and the red O-Pee-Chee border creating a bold contrast around the action style photograph. The front lists him as an offensive and defensive tackle, a position combination that speaks to the physical versatility prized in Canadian football during the period. The back identifies Bahnuik as a Canadian non-import from Bishop's College and notes that he joined the Regina Rams Junior Football Club as a regular defensive or offensive tackle for three years. It also records that he was named the most valuable player on the Rams in 1964 and was a member of the Grey Cup Champions in 1966. That Grey Cup connection gives the card extra team history value for Saskatchewan collectors and adds substance beyond the front image. The cartoon panel adds a distinct period detail by noting his work for the Saskatchewan Department of Industry and Commerce. The 1971 O-Pee-Chee CFL set is famous among Canadian football collectors for its bright red fronts, team identity, bilingual backs, and printed in Canada production. This is a Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back, not a puzzle back, with English and French text on the reverse. The front presents with strong colour and a clean player pose, while visible condition notes include lightly rounded corners, small white touches along the red border, minor top edge chipping, a few print specks in the red background, and centering that appears slightly low and uneven from side to side. The lower edge and corners show handling consistent with vintage sheet storage, but the player image and team branding remain very clear. The back shows cream toning, darker edge aging, small surface spots, softened corners, and fully readable bilingual text. No obvious major crease, writing, tape mark, or paper loss is visible from the sleeve scan. Because the card is photographed through a protective page, direct inspection would be needed to confirm whether any fine wrinkles are present, but the visible presentation supports a respectable raw collector grade. The 1971 O-Pee-Chee CFL Don Bahnuik #91 Bilingual Back Saskatchewan Roughriders is a desirable team card for collectors building a Roughriders run, a Grey Cup related display, or the full vintage OPC CFL checklist. Grade Estimate: EX 5
