Description

1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Lew Morrison #143 Atlanta Flames NHL Hockey Thank you for bringing that correction to light on the grid layout. This 1972-73 O-Pee-Chee Lew Morrison card features the hardworking right winger who was selected from the Los Angeles Kings in the 1972 NHL Expansion Draft to join the freshman Atlanta Flames roster. Known as a defensive-minded forward who excelled at breaking up plays in the neutral zone, Morrison brought valuable league experience to the young expansion squad. The reverse side features the iconic Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back structure with player information and a descriptive paragraph written in both English and French. Vintage hockey singles from this debut season hold immense nostalgia for sports historians documenting the expansion of the league into the American South. A detailed review of the card's current condition indicates strong visual preservation across the board. The borders show standard vintage toning but frame the action graphic beautifully. The edges show slight touch wear and typical factory rough-cut chipping common to O-Pee-Chee card stock from this era. The corners display soft tips with mild rounding under magnification, yet the card remains physically flat and completely unwrinkled. No major surface scuffs, stains, or ink marks are present on either side of the card stock. It offers great eye appeal for a raw vintage card and stands as a solid, budget-friendly option for collectors building out a mid-grade vintage hockey binder. Grade Estimate: VG-EX 4
