Description

1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Orland Kurtenbach #170 New York Rangers Raw (EX 5) Own a piece of Broadway hockey lore with this 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Orland Kurtenbach card. Long before he became the historic first captain of the Vancouver Canucks, Kurtenbach was a feared, powerful center for the New York Rangers. Known as one of the toughest, most respected enforcers and leaders of his era, Kurtenbach protected his teammates with fierce determination while contributing valuable offense. This card is a beautiful representation of his tenure in New York, set within the iconic woodgrain borders that define late 1960s hockey card collecting. The reverse presents the required Canadian O-Pee-Chee bilingual back, noting his recovery from a serious back injury with accompanying French translations. The indicates this card has been preserved with care. The centering leans towards the right border but remains well within acceptable limits for a classic OPC issue. The corners exhibit minor softening at the apexes but do not show severe fraying. The edges are excellent, showing a clean cut with very light factory roughness. The color presentation on the front is bold and deep, while the blue-tinted reverse remains uniform, bright, and completely unblemished by marks or stains. Grade Estimate: EX 5
