Description

1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Alan Hamilton #192 Rookie Award Candidate Rangers Featured here is the 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee hockey card of young defenseman Alan Hamilton, categorized as an Eligible for Rookie Award candidate during his early career stages with the New York Rangers. Hamilton brought youth and defensive depth to the Rangers roster during a highly competitive era in the National Hockey League. The back of the card features a detailed cartoon proclaiming his rookie eligibility alongside bilingual French and English career breakdowns. Reviewing the condition details, this card demonstrates noticeable condition wear appropriate for its age. The centering is shifted towards the top and left, checking in at approximately 75/25 vertically and 65/35 horizontally. The corners show clear rounding and softening on all four tips, with minor paper layering evident on the bottom-right corner. There is some edge chipping along the right margin, creating a slightly weathered look. The reverse face displays light aging on the gray board stock but maintains crisp text readability with zero pen marks or stains. Given the corner rounding and typical vintage edge characteristics, this card qualifies as a solid Very Good grade candidate, ideal for filling out the high-number runs of a classic hockey collection. Grade Estimate: VG 3
