1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Rod Seiling #16 Bilingual Reverse New York Rangers

Description

1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Rod Seiling #16 Bilingual Reverse New York Rangers This original 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee trading card features dependable New York Rangers defenseman Rod Seiling caught mid-stride in his classic blue jersey. Seiling was an unsung hero of the Rangers blue line during the late 1960s and early 1970s, establishing a reputation as a smart, puck-moving defenseman who helped stabilize the franchise's zone transitions. The card back presents the distinct Canadian O-Pee-Chee layout with full English and French text alongside a cartoon illustration depicting his swift mid-season trade from St. Louis back to New York. The condition profile shows substantial softness at the corners, with rounded layering on the bottom two tips and a touch of light wear on the top corners. The left-to-right centering is reasonably balanced at approximately 55/45, while the top-to-bottom centering is pushed upward near a 75/25 ratio. The borders are mostly clean, showing minimal surface scratching or scuffing across the image area. Turning the card over, the back displays standard vintage toning on the cardboard stock with light edge wear visible on the left side, but it remains free of wax stains, creases, or personal inscriptions. Given the uniform corner wear and vertical centering variance, an adjusted assessment rates this card down one step into a conservative Very Good category, highlighting it as an affordable filler card for completing a vintage master set.
