Description

1968 O-Pee-Chee Casey Cox #66 Washington Senators Canadian OPC Pitcher Add a highly coveted regional variant to your vintage baseball collection with this authentic 1968 O-Pee-Chee Casey Cox card, cataloged as card number 66. This specific card originates from the incredibly scarce Canadian production run, printed in far smaller numbers than its ubiquitous Topps counterpart. Casey Cox was a reliable right-handed pitcher who carved out a reputation as a true workhorse on the mound during his tenure with the Washington Senators. Known for a devastatingly heavy sinkerball that frustrated opposing batters, Cox was the arm managers trusted to preserve close games and eat up critical innings during the late 1960s. The front design boasts the iconic burlap sack border texture that has made the 1968 series a favorite among vintage baseball card enthusiasts. Turning the card over reveals the distinct "©T. C. G. PTD. IN CANADA" textual printing across the lower border, cementing its pedigree as a genuine O-Pee-Chee parallel release. The for this vintage specimen indicates an excellent mid-grade placeholder for an elite regional master set. The corners show standard softening at the apexes consistent with age but avoid layering or severe structural splitting. The edges display the typical factory rough-cut style characteristic of O-Pee-Chee production, showing minimal post-factory chipping or tracking wear. Centering on the front is shifted slightly toward the right-hand border but remains well within acceptable registration boundaries for this notoriously difficult year. The back surface presents exceptional eye appeal, with the bright orange field completely free from original wax stains, stray pencil marks, or common vintage binder discoloration.
