Description

1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family #9 Musical Discussion Series 1 Add a magnificent piece of television history to your collection with this 1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family card number 9, titled Musical Discussion. The front composition showcases a heartwarming scene between Susan Dey as Laurie Partridge and David Cassidy as Keith Partridge engaged in a creative huddle over a microphone. Susan Dey's performance as the intelligent, socially conscious Laurie earned her widespread critical acclaim, setting up a successful Hollywood career that later included her award-winning role on L. A. Law. David Cassidy's legendary status as a teen icon shines through in this frame, reflecting the onstage and offstage chemistry that turned their fictional band into a real-life recording phenomenon. This piece features the rare Canadian O-Pee-Chee designation, which is highly sought after because of its lower distribution figures throughout Canada. The back of the card features a key section of Puzzle Number 2, illustrating how O-Pee-Chee utilized these puzzle backs to keep young fans engaged across the 55-card set. This card exhibits brilliant yellow borders with sharp, clear registration of the central image. The centering is shifted left, which creates a narrow border on the left side and a wider yellow margin on the right. The corners are slightly rounded with typical minor wear, but they avoid major creasing or bending. Edges remain quite stable with just minor fuzziness from decades of careful storage. The back puzzle graphics are clean and legible, displaying zero signs of heavy handling or unsightly stains. Grade Estimate: VG-EX 4
