1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family #53 Everybody Pitches In Series 1

Description

1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family #53 Everybody Pitches In Series 1 Celebrate the ultimate symbol of seventies television pop culture with this 1971 O-Pee-Chee The Partridge Family trading card titled Everybody Pitches In. Marked as card number 53, this piece depicts the iconic scene of the family working together on their legendary 1957 Chevrolet Series 6800 school bus. Painted in a striking Mondrian-inspired geometric pattern, the bus became an instant pop-culture landmark and a visual shorthand for the freedom and creativity of the era. The scene captures the charm that made the series a worldwide sensation, spawning hit singles like I Think I Love You which topped the Billboard charts. Finding these Canadian O-Pee-Chee issues in presentable shape is a distinct challenge for non-sport enthusiasts, given that the Canadian market received a fraction of the print run compared to US counterparts. The card reverse features an essential piece of Puzzle Number 2, contributing to the broader collage of the band. This specimen boasts excellent color saturation on the front, rendering the vibrant details of the painted bus vividly. The centering is biased heavily toward the top edge, leaving a wider yellow border along the bottom margin. The corners display visible softening and touch wear appropriate for a mid-grade vintage item. Edges show small signs of standard chipping along the vulnerable cardboard cuts. The back puzzle panel is bright and nicely preserved, free of major ink flaws or tears, with just a minimal amount of light vintage corner toning. Grade Estimate: VG 3
